Okay, attempt no. 2. I have decided to quit facebook for a month (So til Nov. 20-- Just in time for TEDxMcGill). My chronic usage of that site is having a serious effect on me right now. It is an addiction. If people want to contact me, well... too bad. It's called a telephone. I would like to have a normal conversation on the phone, thankyouverymuch.

If this works, I'll maybe extend it to a year. Let's take it one step at a time.

University talk. Ignore.

I'm heading off for Ottawa tommorrow to see my darling. She's moved to a new house and I'm just ecstatic to see her. I've waited 4 months for this!
Oh right, university season's come upon us at my college. People are freaking out (mainly me---I'm a whiny bastard when I'm stressed. My poor friends had to endure). I've narrowed it down: it's either UofT, OttawaU, UBC (Stretch since poor pris has no moolah), Concordia, or McGill.
Hmm. Any opinions? If you go to any of these, care to share?

I would LOVE to go to UBC. No kidding. Vancouver seems like an awesome place.
U of T... Sure, I've got some relatives there (Meaning less $$$) but the place makes me claustrophobic (maybe it's just the scarborough area). One thing I know for sure is I'm gonna be splurging like crazy in Bangla town for my mom's constant demands for new saree or salwar styles. Omg, I don't even wanna think about shipping costs. And erm, living with your stereotypical gossipy bengali aunt can be somewhat nauseating.

OttawaU. Two advantages: I get to live with my darling (if that's ok with her though) and two, costs aren't that and parents aren't too far away. Yes, I'm a parasite.

I'm leaning towards McGill and Concordia now for the close proximity to my house and er, low fees (Only $3000 people!)
So far what I've heard about McGill from a close friend who's doing her second year is that it's one party party school and there's no seating available for studying and the professors are pompous. And that everything is falling apart. Understandable.

Concordia. This, I don't know much about except according to a friend, it has a high schoolish feel. I'm not exactly wanting to relive high school. But whatever, as long as I can get into it for my program choice, I'm happy.

I feel a headache coming up. Oh life, why must you be such a cruel b*tch?

Sheldon!

Last night's episode of Pushing Daisies was terrible. The charm fizzled. A trend I noticed for many season twos of American TV shows.
On the other hand, The Big Bang Theory is a new show I'm currently digging.
And the sad thing is, I comprehend everything that Sheldon spews out on physics theory.
Oh physics, you are such a bad boyfriend (you know, the type that treats you awful but you secretly love him anyways).
Oh Sheldon <3.

You know, if I were to marry Isaac Newton, I think we'd pull it off. Yeah yeah, I know he's homosexual (No, not really. It's a common misconception as he was completely absorbed in his work) but then again, I'd make him so distracted with all my nagging and bitching that he wouldn't have invented Physics. I would have caught the apple before it lands on his head to bake my pies. =D

And I would have invented chemistry instead.

I'm happy.

Let's just say that my life feels complete for two reasons.

1. I visited my other half today after not seeing her for a year. I'm still smiling as I type this.
2. The Mist sucks.

+ in other news, 1408 must've been ridiculously fun to film.
+ We Just Got Married gets better and better each episode! I'm rooting for CrownJ/InYoung & JoongBo. Can't wait for next sunday where Hwang Bo visits HyunJoong in Japan.
+ note to self: must buy fantasia fest ticket. Any f-listers going to the event?

Yes, I know this is a totally incoherent post but I'm butterfly happy that I'm not even thinking in English. I love her too much.

Arr, ye! Jodhaa Akbar!

So recently, I've decided to return back to blogging. My linguistic skills decreased over the years and sometimes, it's not the same "ommph" when you speak about something that excites you with another person. About my last post, don't worry. This journal won't be filled with my self-angst and cries of woe. There's enough 14 years old emo children in the world to do that for you. But to cheer myself up, I realize that this whole pattern of doing bad on the first year at an institution and then doing extremely well in the following years to come is a common thing throughout my life so far. So I shouldn't worry. Just a slight adaptation and time management problem of mine to fix. [/end self reflection] Oh, but I will include observations of my "semi-college" life per se. Why? Because it's a much interesting life than what you lead, that's for sure.

So back to what I was intially gonna post about.
JODHAA AKBAR IS OUT!!!

Hah, how funny how I was waiting year for this film to come out and I only found about the release 2 weeks after the release.
I'm just so glad these two actors are in the film together ever since Dhoom 2. They has such awesome chemistry together. I mean come on, LOOK AT THESE TWO!!

For those who are completely clueless to what this bollywood film is about (taken from Wikipedia):

Jodhaa Akbar is a sixteenth century love story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between a great Mughal emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa.

Political success knew no bounds for Emperor Akbar (Hrithik Roshan). After having secured the Hindu Kush, he furthered his realm by conquest until his empire extended from Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal, and from the Himalayas to the Godavari River. Through a shrewd blend of diplomacy, intimidation and brute force , Akbar won the allegiance of the Rajputs. But little did Akbar know that when he married Jodhaa (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), a fiery Rajput princess, in order to further strengthen his relations with the Rajputs, he would in turn be embarking upon a new journey – the journey of true love.

The daughter of King Bharmal of Amer, Jodhaa resented being reduced to a mere political pawn in this marriage of alliance, and Akbar’s biggest challenge now did not merely lie in winning battles, but in winning the love of Jodhaa – a love hidden deep below resentment and extreme prejudice. Jodhaa-Akbar is their untold love story

The synopsis sounds cheesy but it's a bolly film. You should expect cheesy moments about love anyways.

To be continued since I'm off to school.

Huzzah. Death Note : The Last Name is coming out on November 3rd.  I'm slow on these things. I've just ordered my grad ring yesterday and expecting it will come between 6-8 weeks. It's not bad-looking but it doesn't look fantastic either. I'll post a picture of it once I get it. On a randome note: I want to get RedHotChiliPeppers' CD.

Update: On Montreal Shooting Spree

I bring you updated news.

I'm surprised. I couldn't exactly sleep last night.
Normally, I've never paid much attention to the news but this frightens the hell off of me.
Everyone  has been glued to the TV screen watching Peter Mansbridge report on the incident. And the irony of it all is that the reporters are treating the stories as if this shooting incident is a major sellout.

(I've noticed that these two entries have been so serious.. it'll be a while till I can get to my normal self.)

I don't exactly know why  this shooting has affected me alot. I'm not even a student over there. No wait, I know the reason.
To think that this shooter got a hand of a machine gun so easily. In broad daylight. Frig, who the hell gets a machine gun out of no where? And this shooter is supposedly a stereotypical punk-type person wearing a black trenchcoat? I think it's a costume for capturing attention.

Argh, another thing that frustrates me is how some people I know are going avoid enrolling in that CEGEP just because of the shooting incident.  So what? It happened, it's not going to happen again in the future. This just shows how close-minded people tend to be.

I guess I broke my rule of not talking about my personal life by ranting in here.

I'm not gonna even bother fixing my grammer and spelling mistakes.

I send my condolences to her family.

Dawson College Shooting In Montreal.

I'm sorry for interrupting your friendlist but this just happened 40 minutes ago.  Every news channel in my area has been in a frenzy.
You see, this college (equivalent to students in grade 12 or 13; we don't have that) has 10, 000 students.  This college/CEGEP is in the heart of downtown Montréal. Supposedly, two gun men with automatic rifles barged in the cafeteria shooting at anyone passing by them.  The police are searching for a "third" gunman. One gunman comitted suicide. Another was "neutralised" (killed) by police officers. Some students are saying that 20 gunshots were fired, others say 7.

Man, this is hard to type when you're listening to mixed news.
I don't know what to say.

Seeing these images of students my age covered with blood... crying, running for their lives.
It's like that incident that happened in 1989 at Polytechnique again.
(For those who didn't know, 14 women were massacred by a man simply because they were women. The man believed that women shouldn't go to school nor enter "male professions". He killed himself after the shooting.)

Augh. I'm just filled with confusion.
I just hope that the victims recover.

Edit:  S.W.A.T teams are there and there's only one gunman. (not confirmed).

It's 34 degrees celsius with humidity. It feels like 50 degrees. And I live in supposedly "snowy" Canada.

Did I mention my sweat is evaporating?
Did I mention how hideous I look when I sweat?
(Not that I mind seeing Akanishi sweat. That would be spectacular. =D Him all sweaty and swivelling those hips)
Oh.
Of course, there's always the air conditioner.
But no.

Little mikiwoo is saving humanity by conserving energy and prevent global warming so that we don't come face to face with tornadoes, pink polka dotted elephants and genetically engineered-teenage-mutant-polar-bears gone-wild.
Alongside with the idea that those abalones begin to grow legs and start shooting torpedos.

... Oddly, I'm wishing I were a strawberrie like these two.
I'm hallucinating, aren't I?
(They look like Koki and Junno! O.o)

For all you drama addicts out there,
